You always feel good after leaving the farmers' market. Maybe it's because you got outside in the fresh air, stocked up on your groceries, supported local businesses.... or simply because you can immediately start munching on your pickles (we don't blame you, they are too good to wait). There are endless reasons to head to the farmers' markets this weekend, and every weekend! Here are a few...

1. STOCK UP ON FRESH CRUNCH PICKLES This is obviously the number one reason to go to the farmers’ market! We have our entire array of fresh, sour, sweet, salty, spicy pickles for you to choose from. We also offer beverages, dips, and spreads at select markets. YUM.

2.SUPPORT SMALL, LOCAL BUSINESSES From farmers and artists, bakers and jewelry designers, to pickle people, come and show up and support your community of local small businesses.

3.GET THE FRESHEST FOODS Seasonal fruits and veggies, hand-made soaps, artisan bread, fresh-pressed juices, gourmet pastries, and MORE. Most vendors don't include pesticides, additives, or preservatives in their products, so many of these foods are fresher and healthier than those you find at the grocery store.

4.KNOW WHERE YOUR FOOD COMES FROM Purchasing your groceries from the farmers' market is a great way to connect with your food and where it came from. You can find where the local farms and businesses are located and their processes of growing or making their product.

5.MAKE GROCERY SHOPPING PLESANT, NOT A CHORE Shopping outside in the fresh air on a sunny day surrounded by the community is much more enjoyable than pushing a grocery cart down aisles inside at a supermarket. Enough said.

6. GET OUTSIDE & ENJOY THE FRESH MORNING AIR Farmers' market trips are a great way to start your Saturday or Sunday morning. Feeling the crisp air wakes you up more than any cup of joe.

7. SPEND TIME WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILYWake up your family and get out of the house! Make memories choosing your produce for the week and browsing the colorful farmer's markets.

8. REDUCE YOUR PLASTIC CONSUMPTION Buying vegetables and products from the farmers' market eliminates the use of plastic containers and bags. Don't forget your reusable bags! Help save the planet.

9. GET TO KNOW THE VENDORS  You can get to know the farmers that plant the seeds and reap the harvest of your vegetables, the artisans that make art, the baristas that press your juice, and the Fresh Crunchers that pickle your pickles!

10. EAT PICKLES AS A MID-MORNING SNACK Pickles make a perfect mid-morning snack. They are nutritious and delicious. They offer a wide range of vitamins and nutrients including high amounts of potassium and electrolytes. Crunching on a pickle mid-morning gives you the energy to keep strolling through the farmer's market.
